We’re looking for a subleasor to take over a bedroom and private bath in a three bedroom, two bath apartment in a 2nd floor walkup at 75th and York. I’m moving in with my boyfriend, so I need to find a good person to share the apartment with my two roommates.
About the neighborhood:
The apartment is located off of York Avenue, which has lots of cute restaurants and shops such as Beanocchio’s, Tracy Stern Salon Tea, Barking Dog Café, Gotham Pizza and Dunkin Donuts. The apartment is on 75th and next to Lycee de New York (French school) and is extremely safe. Also near John Jay Park and the FDR esplanade, which is great for running, biking and walking. The closest subway stop is the 77th street 6 subway, also close to the 72nd street crosstown bus and M31 which goes down York and crosses 57th street.
About the apartment and room:
The apartment has pretty hardwood floors, an updated kitchen with dishwasher and counter space, a living room spacious by NYC standards and a fully outfitted kitchen and common area. Best of all, there are two bathrooms so you’ll have your very own private bath. The building is pretty quiet and the super lives on site. The room for rent has a spacious closet with built-in shelves and a ceiling fan. Pictures are below.
Please include a little bit of information about yourself and the date you’d like to move in. You should be:
· Female, non-smoker
· No pets, please
· Employed and financially stable (please have proof of employment)
· Neat and willing to pitch in to clean common spaces
· Friendly and like to watch TV shows with the roomies
The sublease arrangement is:
· Four month sublease (November 14,2009 – March 30, 2010) with option to renew on the lease (if approved) in April
· I may be a tad flexible with move-in date
· First month’s rent + one month security deposit = $2,400
· Pro-rated rent for November will apply based on your move-in date
· No broker fee as I paid through the end of the lease
· OPTIONAL: I have a full-sized headboard, mattress & stilts, solid cherry wood dresser and solid cherry wood nightstand for sale. If you would like to purchase these, you’ll have first right of refusal to make your move easier! Bed + dresser + nightstand = $300
My lovely roommates are:
· Two females from Ohio and Pennsylvania in late-20s that work 9-5ish jobs
· Clean, courteous and mature
· Fun and chatty – they like to kick back with a glass of wine after work and are very welcoming
· They both like to cook fun meals and do cool things around the city on the weekends
