Genuine Fender Black Tolex Hard shell Case. It was made between 1964- 1966 the (no logo years).
Black Tolex with Black leather ends and red interior. The inside of the case is in great condition protecting the guitar from outside environments, & has no odors what so ever.
The outside of the case has alittle more wear. I used to play in a band called Rico & the Farmers just google the name. I have carried this case for 10 years to all our shows played in NYC. I have taken 7 pictures to show in detail the wear of this case.
Top, bottom, front & back of the case are in good condition. It's the sides with the leather that have more wear. Parts of the leather ends are worn out to the wood and have some duck tape on it. Only a small percent of wood is exposed.
Both locking latches are missing the latch. The bottom half of the latches are fine and the springs are good. Middle latch both top and bottom is OK.
Replaced original handle with a plastic blue handle. Do not have the key for these latches. Use 2 nylon belts to keep case closed when doing shows. The 2 belts are included with case. The back hinges are OK.
Bottom of case has been spray painted with words “White Plastic”. I bought it that way 30 years ago. Also the bottom of the case is missing 2 studs on the right side which is visible in picture 8. This has no harm for the guitar inside the case. As I said earlier this was the years of no logo. Why? I have no idea.
Again this case was well used and been a great friend for many years. It has been with me to many gigs. I guess you can say it’s a piece of my Fender History. The Tele in the last picture of course is not included.
