For sale here is a beautiful 2005 Martin HD-35 acoustic guitar in near mint condition. The top is solid spruce with amazing cross-silking. My understanding is that cross-silking is an indication of high strength in the wood, so this type of top will give increased resonance. The back and sides are solid Indian rosewood. The binding has the herringbone design. This Martin has been upgraded with a bone saddle, bone bridge pins with abalone centers and a K&K Pure Western pickup. The pickup, which works great, is a passive system plugging into the strap button. There are no other holes or controls on the guitar. Guitar has the powerful sound that made Martin famous. Although you can crank out the volume without buzzing, it is set up perfectly so that you can easily play right up the neck. Guitar is near mint- two small finish imperfections too small to photograph. No cracks or neck issues. Comes with original Martin case. Tremendous value here.
