Description Under direction performs technical services in the Department of Neurology: produces sleep recordings; prepares and calibrates polygraphs and other ancillary equipment; applies electrodes and other sensors to patients; monitors recordings over an overnight sleep period; analyses and generates reports of sleep studies; assesses qualitative sleep EEG features; reviews respiratory and EKG data; maintains equipment; assists in training new technicians; demonstrates laboratory procedures to staff; performs other job related duties as required.
AAS degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred; must have basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology regarding cardiopulmonary and neurophysiological systems; must have knowledge of sleep physiology and diagnostic sleep record techniques; BLS certification required; must be able to work night hours; excellent organization and communication skills.
