Description Under direction, assists physicians with patient care and administrative duties in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery: maintains physician's schedules; assists with applications and grant submissions; insures all accounts payable are submitted to administration; maintains patient flow; obtains laboratory and x-ray reports; acts as a primary contact for physician's patients and referring doctors; completes demographic and insurance information; verifies patients' insurance information; schedules operating room time; performs other job related duties as required.
Must have at least two to three years' related experience in a surgical or medical office; previous experience with IDX preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent organization and communication skills.
