Description Under direction, coordinates and administers clinical research protocols in the Department of Surgery; reviews potential protocols for suitability and feasibility; prepares and amends IRB protocols; prepares study budget; collects and maintains pre-study regulatory documents; reviews protocol with medical staff; performs daily monitoring of patients in clinical trials; answers inquires; prepares and amends IAACUC protocols; assists in obtaining consent forms; updates residents on inclusion/exclusion criteria; coordinates patient follow up; performs other job related duties as required.
Bachelor's of Science degree and three plus years clinical research experience required; must be able to assists in preparing manuscripts for publications; must be able to assist in the clinical evaluation and examination of clinical trial participants; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent organization and communication skills; previous experience with patient and family education concerning recruitment of clinical trials and obtaining informed consent forms required; excellent organization and communication skills.
