Description Under direction, coordinates and organizes related clinical protocols in the Department of Surgery: assesses the immediate and continuing needs of patients and establishes priorities for nursing care; performs daily monitoring of the patients; coordinates patient follow up visits; provides continuity of care from admission to discharge; assists physician in preparing IRB documents; recruits and screens study patients; educates patients and staff on pharmacological/drug effects and protocol requirements; confers with medical director to design and implement a patient/physician tracking systems; performs other job related duties as required.
Must have a New York State's license, certification as a Physician Assistant and 2 years experience as a Physician Assistant; Master's degree with 3 years clinical experience preferred; must have a working knowledge of statistics; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; excellent organization and communication skills.
