Description Under direction, provides administrative support for a surgeon in the Department of Surgery: answers phone inquires; obtains demographic information; schedules appointments and laboratory tests; prepares schedules for physician; prepares correspondence; prepares purchase orders and travel expense reports; coordinates flight and hotel arrangements for business travel; performs other job related duties as required.
Must have a high school diploma and one year of experience in a medical practice; previous experience with hospital systems including Imnet, Flowcast and EPIC preferred; must have demonstrated understanding of medical terminology; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; prior exposure to third party billing a plus; excellent organization and communication skills.
