Description The Dean of Students for the New York City campuses will lead a team responsible for the oversight of residential life, judicial affairs, orientation, commencement, counseling services, student activities, and leadership development. This appointment will provide a unique opportunity to influence the student experience at Berkeley College by meeting the needs of a diverse campus population, fostering student development and promoting involvement in campus life; the individual must have strong commitment to student success and student centered service.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of best practices in higher educational administration and leadership, student personnel services, student development theory and student learning outcomes; knowledge and demonstrated effective management experience of report areas in student affairs including leadership development, conflict resolution, assessment, and staff development; demonstrated experience in strategic planning, goal development and outcomes assessment, consultative and collaborative decision making; demonstrated effectiveness in managing more than one area of student affairs including residential and co-curricular learning programs in a multicultural environment.


Qualifications: Doctorate preferred; a master's degree in higher education, student affairs or related applicable degree from an accredited college or university and 10 plus years of increasing management experience (including at least three years as an Assistant or Associate Dean) in Student Affairs.
