Description Under direction, assists with the planning and evaluating of patient care in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology: maintains patient flow; takes patient's vital signs including blood pressure and drawing blood as directed; updates and collects patient history; assists physicians and nurses in the exam room; obtains diagnostic reports; manages charting process; prepares exam room for patient visit; washes and sterilizes equipment; prepares, collects and arranges for disposition of specimens; performs other job related duties as required.
Must be certified as a phlebotomist and have experience with direct patient care; knowledge of medical terminology required; excellent organization and communication skills.
