One of SGA's major financial clients is looking for a Developer for a contract position in New York, NY. This resource should have strong development experience to work as a key member of our US IRP electronic trading team. The role will focus on development related to Real Time pricing and order management, trade execution, and STP. Individual will need to be able to Work independently to develop and enhance core Electronic Trading (ET) components using C and Java, Work independently to maintain and upgrade broken and customer ECNs both to troubleshoot Real Time issues but also manage the testing, upgrade, and enhancement process for these platforms, Work in a dynamic team environment spanning technology, trading and quantitative modelling, often communicating directly with the US Govt trading desk, and Work independently to solve complex problems and develop complex component based solutions with minimal direction.

.NET GUI experience is ESSENTIAL!

1 - 2 years or more experience with Fixed Income or Equities Real Time trading systems.

Experience working with financial models and related concepts (pricing, order/execution strategies)

C with STL

Java

Perl and Shell Scripting

Linux/Unix

EMS

Familiarity with ECN APIs (OM/iConnect/ETC/TW/BBG/etc)

Familiarity with market data APIs (SFC/RFA/TIB/etc)

SQL

Ability to work across a broad range of technologies and projects simultaneously


Ability to meet strategic and tactical requirements

Ability to work under pressure and solve problems independently.

Strong analytic and problem solving skills

Desired Skills:


Prior experience working with in Front Office investment banking IT

3 years experience in US Govts Electronic trading markets at a financial institution or ECN.

Participate in a support coverage rotation (7am early shift 2x/wk) and occasional weekend checkouts (approx once every 2mo).
