We arelooking for Technical Support Engineers with a Unix/Linux background andknowledge of HTML, CGI, HTTP, Perl, basic system administration, networking,and DNS. As an open-source shop we develop exciting and unique solutions fromthe ground up and have the opportunity to understand how things work at thelowest levels and modify things to work as desired Primary job responsibilities are but not limited to thefollowing:
Fix bugs, enhancecode, and design changes for existing code
Coordinate with otherIT resources (DBAs, UNIX Sys Admins, Developers) for shared responsibilities.
Provide end-usersupport for existing applications
Develop tools tobetter support applications
Determine and correct problems in assignedsystems
Strong Unix andscripting skills using standard Perl and Shell
Educational Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor sdegree in Computer Science or equivalent; master s degree is preferred.
Technical Requirements
Experience debugging code written by other developers inproduction environments
Knowledge of databases including basic SQL
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solvingskills.
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a customer-centric environment
Apply in-depth technical analysis of application issues to solvecustomer reported problems
Ability to relate technical information in a non-technicalmanner.
Ability to analyze and grasp user's needs.
Ability to work well within a team to learn and share knowledge.
Experience in one or more of the following programming languageis required.
