Global Investment Bank located in New York, NY has an immediate full time opportunity for an experienced MBS C# Developer.


Summary


We are currently seeking a talented MBS Development/Support individual with good knowledge of.NET (C#) programming, databases and excellent communication skills. In this role the successful candidate will join the Rates/MBS Risk development team responsible for the development of the systems and infrastructure that present risk and P&L metrics to the business. The team will be heavily involved with the MBS reengineering (in collaboration with quant research and London risk teams) project, the development of new, composite risk/P&L presentation systems as well as the maintenance and support of the existing infrastructure.


The ideal candidate will have good skills in C# and have experience in the development of both Server Side and client facing components. They will be a team player capable of working with immediate team members, Front Office IT support groups and trading groups.


Duties and Responsibilities


Support and maintenance of the MBS Trading/Risk platform

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

Communicate status and report issues to the project leader

Be part of the team developing the next generation of risk, inventory, P&L, P&L Explain presentation tools utilizing Microsoft ExcelandCABtechnology and leading to the next evolution of the Microsoft platform (Prism/WPF).


Qualifications


4-5 years of C# development experience (4 5 years total experience).

Undergraduate degree in a numerical/engineering subject

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Familiarity with Fixed Income Trading, Pricing, and Risk Management concepts

Excellent knowledge of .NET and C#

Excellent knowledge of databases (SQL Server preferred)

Experience in the full software development life cycle

Proactive team player with a can-do attitude

Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills

Candidates must be excellent analytical problem solvers

Attention to detail, thoroughness a must


Preferred Qualifications


Good knowledge of C++ a distinct advantage

Experience of developing Front Office Winforms GUI applications

Knowledge of 3 rd party user controls such as DevExpress, SyncFusion etc

Experience using Microsoft CAB (Composite UI Application Block)

Experience using a distributed object cache (Coherance/Gemfire)

Familiarity of the Mortgage valuation process flow ie OAS generation

Knowledge of OLAP and SQL Server Analysis Services

Knowledge of Intex
