High Level Job Description:
Designs and initiates processes for the manufacturing of chemicals and related products such as cement, detergents, gasoline, plastics, and synthetics. Runs experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes. May require a bachelor's degree in engineering and 6 - 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Job Description:
Identifying and developing cutig edge/flavor/ingredient tools & technologies and understanding.
Leads cross functional project teams to successfully deliver flavors/ingredients,technologies & knowledge. Ability to translate into applied sciences
- Ability to provide flavor research leadership on both strategic and technical aspects of projects.
A proven track record in problem solving, experimental design, and creative thinking
Outstanding teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
Proficient in analytical instrumentation GC and GCMS.
Beneficial additional experience: flavor release measurement (headspace, purge & trap), and olfactometry.
Technical strength in flavor isolation and in-depth knowledge of flavor materials.
Experience in applied flavor research.
Demonstrated ability to work on cross-functional teams. Critical Competencies

Education & Experience:
Required: Chemistry/Food Science degree or related discipline with at least 10 years of flavor research experience in an analytical department of a flavor or consumer products company.
Proven track record of 5 plus years in ability to integrate flavor research findings into business applications
Other Job Requirements:
This position will require flexibility in working hours associated with travel or project plans that may extend past typical working hours.
Field Travel will be required (domestic and international). Travel Estimation 10 %. --See job description--
