Adecco Engineering & Technical, a division of the world leader in the recruitment of engineering and information technologies professionals, has an immediate opening for a Linux System Administrator. This is a Direct Hire opportunity in Port Washington, NY.


The right candidate would have 5 years of Linux System Administration experience. Will be responsible for supporting the new MYSQL Cluster environment, monitoring all Call Servers, Application Servers and Oracle Servers for issues such as:

Space Utilization

Disk and Memory Utilization

Monitoring all Processes

Taking ownership of Alert system (SAMd) including updating, additional functionality

Installing & Maintaining Operating Systems Patches

Installing & Maintaining Utility/3rd Party Product Patch Levels

Call Server Software Rollouts

Linux Shell Scripting


Requirements:

BS Degree

5 years experience with Linux systems administration

Experience with installing & maintaining Operation Systems Patches

Experience with MYSQL Cluster environment

Experience with Oracle Servers, Application Servers, Call Servers

Experience with space utilization, rollouts etc

Experience with Linux Shell Scripting

Linux administration (user setup, directory and file system creation, monitoring)
