UncommonGoods is a team oriented, fun, fast-paced and rapidly growing catalog/internet retailer selling creative gifts, home accents and personal accessories. We are currently looking to hire a highly motivated, experienced and reliable individual for our fulfillment department.
The perfect candidate must be 100% reliable, have the ability to work quickly and efficiently, and work closely with other team members and departments.
This person will be required to oversee our pick/pack operations, while also maintaining a high productivity. During holiday season will be responsible of overseeing a team of 20 to 25 employees.
Responsibilities include:
§ Accurately pick customer orders verifying product accuracy and quantities
§ Securely pack customer orders securely, ensuring positive appearance of the package
§ Scan all outbound packages to get ready for pick-up
§ Adequately train temporary staff to prepare for the holidays
§ Evaluate and improve overall department performance
§ Keep track of departments time and attendance
§ Monitor and maintain inventory on all shipping supplies
§ Maintain a clean and organized work area
§ Provide assistance in other areas as requested.
Requirements:
§ Previous supervisory skills
§ Open availability and flexibility, some nights and weekends may be required
§ Previous Warehouse/Shipping or Receiving experience
§ Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
§ Ability to handle multiple tasks, establish and coordinate work priorities efficiently
§ Ability to motivate and coach staff
§ Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment
§ Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
§ Strong communication and time management skills.
§ Positive and professional attitude
§ Ability to lift up to 50lbs
*Must be able to be on your feet, walking or standing for extended period of time
