Position Title Chief Librarian
Job Location The Bronx, NY
Description Monroe College seeks a dynamic, service-oriented Chief Librarian to work in collaboration with library staff to provide leadership in collection development, service enhancement, and reference assistance and instruction.


The Director will work closely with the academic departments, and report directly to the Dean of Academic Technology. This is a 12-month position and will require some evening and weekend hours.


REQUIRED: MLS from an ALS accredited program, the ability to work flexibly and creatively in a changing environment, and a strong student service philosophy.


PREFERRED: Reference and library instruction experience at a level that will prepare students for transfer to graduate programs, especially in the area of business management and criminal justice.
