Colonel Buzz Aldrin "SIGNED" GI JOE "MINT" Still in box. Colonel Aldrin himself signed the box of this GI Joe. Included with this is the First Day of Issue First Man on The Moon Stamp. Posted and stamped with Moon Landing stamp dated 7/20/69 and Washington DC stamp dated 9/9/69. This is on an Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. Man on the Moon Apollo II Envelope. With a 11x14 picture of Astronaut Edwin E. Aldrin, Jr. carrying the lunar seismometer and the laser reflector experiments toward a level spot on the lunar surface. Mint condition
First day cover for the 10-cent Air Mail First Man on the Moon stamp. Postmarked Sept. 9, 1969, from Washington, D.C. Also a postmark with the July 20, 1969, date of "Mans First Landing on the Moon," which is commemorated in the Aircraft cachet.
This was an interesting stamp. I believe that the die for this stamp was carried on the mission with the astronauts. That would explain the difference in the postmarks. The moon landing was July, 1969 but the actual date on the envelope is September. This was due to the quarantining of everything coming back from the first moon mission.
Also included is "Americans In Space" Chart still in the original plastic. With Manned space flight data.
