I'm selling a Samsung SC-HMX10 touch-screen 8 GB high-definition (HD) camcorder. (See pictures and list of specs below.) It's less than 1 year old and is still under the original manufacturer's warranty! I still have the original box and everything else that came with it, including the manual, battery, remote control, component cable to connect it to your HDTV, and USB cable to connect it to your PC.

I'm also throwing in a bunch of free extras, including a brand new Kodak camera bag and two additional batteries, which sell for $50 a piece brand new! There are no scratches, dents, cracks, or other cosmetic defects on the body of the camcorder. I'm selling it only because I bought a new digital camera which has its own HD video recording capability built-in, so I don't need a stand-alone camcorder anymore. You are more than welcome to come try it out and shoot some video before buying it.

This is a terrific budget HD camcorder -- it's just about the most lightweight, compact model out there and the touch-screen LCD makes it very easy to learn and use. It features 10x optical zoom and digital image stabilization to prevent blurriness caused by camera shake. It records in 720p high-definition and the videos look great on a widescreen HDTV, especially when you shoot outdoors under the sun. To answer some questions you may have:

1) Each battery lasts about 90 minutes on a full-charge.

2) The built-in 8 GB of internal memory can store 4 hours of video at the highest quality setting. To store more, you can either lower the recording quality or buy an add-on SDHC memory card for as little as $10 which will expand the storage.

3) To watch the videos, you can either connect the camcorder to your HDTV via the included component cable or connect it to your computer via the included USB cable and open the video files in a media player program that supports the popular AVCHD file format.

4) To edit the videos, you can use a program like Adobe Premiere Elements or the free iMovie that comes bundled with all Macs.

(Please note that the screen on this camcorder has a minor blemish in the form of a small circular black blotch near the center of the screen. The screen is still 100% useable and you have the option of sending it back to Samsung for a warranty repair.)
