Poor Dudley. This puppy has had a rough start in life but things are finally looking up. Dudley had been adopted by a family but after a few months they decided they didn't want him and were taking him to the shelter in PA. A guy saw him and said "this is the dog I have wanted all my life" and he adopted this big puppy. Dudley is 11 months old and 69 pounds. He has beautiful soft fur and is brown with white markings. He is just a big perfect puppy! Initially he was thought to be a Pit Bull Terrier but he's too big. We believe he may even be purebred American Bulldog, Dudley knows but he's not talking! Anyway Dudley spent more time at the dog sitter than he did with the guy. After one week the guy told the dog sitter that he didn't want the dog back. He said that the puppy was "aggressive" because he barked when someone was at the front door, he broke out of his crate (after being locked in it 10-14 hours a day) and chewed on the air conditioner. He also complained that he wasn't housebroken. Dudley is a big puppy and he does what puppy's do! He loves to dig and chase bugs and play. Taking the puppy to the shelter was too much work for the guy and he said he could get rid of Dudley in his own backyard with a bullet. When we got word of this boy in need we knew we had to take him. Look how beautiful he is!! How anyone could treat that way is beyond me! The guy didn't even name the puppy, we did. We thought it was just a fitting name for him. Dudley had stayed with the dog sitter and was best buds with her small dog. He did meet a cat but when the cat hissed at him Dudley ran and hid (big baby!). Dud will be getting neutered before he gets adopted. This guy is a real charmer. He has no clue how big he is and actually tries to sit in your lap!! He loves to give kisses and get tickled. Dudley is a treasure and whoever gets him will be one of the luckiest humans around!
