We saved Cinnamon the day she was scheduled for euthanasia at the kill shelter simply because there were too many homeless dogs at the shelter and not enough room. She is now safe and looking for a home. Cinnamon is a 6 year old tan and white American Staffordshire Terrier mix. Cinnamon landed up at the shelter through no fault of her own - her family lost their home and now they are living in a homeless shelter, which doesn't allow pets, so Cinnamon was surrendered to the shelter. Here's what a volunteer wrote about Cinnamon: Did you ever stop and wonder what happens to pets when their owners lose their homes and move to shelters? Animals face a double whammy: they lose their homes and their owners (because pets aren't allowed at shelters). And that's what happened to 6 year old Cinnamon. When she first arrived here, she was so lost. She cried in her cage for someone to take her out. Her owner said that Cinnamon loves men, women and children, On the street, she is wonderful, a great walker and civil to other dogs meets. She might have lived with small dogs (as the owner said she is good with small dogs). She certainly appears to be housetrained. Cinnamon is a sweet girl, appropriately named for her spice-colored coat. She's a wonderful walker who is polite around other people and dogs. In fact, she prefers to lie down under a park bench and have her human friend rub her belly than be bothered with other dogs! And I was more than happy to oblige. Miss Cinnamon also loves treats, knows how to sit, and is affectionate with her human friends. A wonderful girl who lost her home when her owner lost theirs, please considering giving her a new, forever home. Cinnamon is a very friendly dog who seems to like children, too, as we could see from her behavior. Cinnamon is vaccinated, spayed, de-wormed, heartworm tested and microchipped.
