Meet KING , a 2.5 year old bulldog mix. King was found as a stray when he arrived at the city shelter, but he was found with a spiky collar and a pink harness! That image pretty much sums up King's personality, too---strong but kind. He's a very demonstrative boy who loves WALKS, and I mean LOVES them. He'll be great for apartment life as long as his owner gives him really solid walking sessions. Of course, a yard is always good, too! He walks well for the most part, but has a tendency to pull and dart when he wants to get to a tree or something. He sporadically pulls, but he also listens REALLY well, and responds to his name, too. A few walks where you stop and say "no" , and he'll be putty in your hands. He's alert and smart. He also LOVES TOYS, so it is easy to make him happy. A couch, some good walks, and a plushie. he'll worship you forever. King will arrive to you neutered, with all his shots, and tested for dog aggression. As it stands now, I don't think I've seen King even take notice of other dogs, and I walked him on the street near the shelter, along a busy avenue where many dogs pass us. King just trots along, lost in his own cuteness. if you'd like to take this lovely guy home, or FOSTER him by saving his life and letting him 'crash" with you for a while, please write us for a short , confidential application that screens for safety.
