If you are looking for a beautiful Akita, well here I am!! No need to look at the next dog on Petfinder. I was abandoned and left tied to the shelter fence over 6 years ago. I am an extremely attractive girl who loves to swim and go for long, quiet walks. I also happen to love hamburgers a lot as well! I am a real rescue dog who has been at the shelter way too long. It is really hard to have a life behind a steel dog run cage, never knowing what it is to lounge on a cozy sofa. :-( I would be best suited in a home where I am the only pet. I have been here a really long time and I am still hoping someone with a big back yard and tons of love will consider taking me home. I am beginning to think a home is only a dream for me. But, the volunteers try to make me as comfy as possible. They really love and understand me. Interested? Want to consider a real rescue- a dog that needs a chance?
