04/22/09 Update - Dempsey is still looking for a foster or forever home. He is very scared at the kennel and we would love to get him back in a home environment. Dempsey needs to be in a home that has a consistent routine. He would do best in a low activity home with no children because he is easily startled. Dempsey knows sign language for all of his basic obedience commands. He loves to play with other dogs and is usually in the submissive role. Dempsey is what rescue is about. 9/24/08 - Dempsey Dempsey is a four year old deaf boy looking for a new home. He knows the hand signs for sit, stay, lay, come, and good-boy. Dempsey needs a boxer savvy owner to provide additional training and socialization. He is very hesitant when first meeting new people, but is a really sweet boy once he gets to know you. Dempsey does well with other dogs and would benefit from another dog that could be his ears. Since he is deaf, we are also looking for a home with a secure, fenced yard.
