HEYWOOD BROS. & WAKEFIELD CO - ART DECO DRESSING TABLE W CHAIR Heywood Bros. & Wakefield Co., Boston, Mass were legendary makers of America's finest home furnishings. The company went out of business in the last half of the 20th century yet its name still lingers and pieces are sold at various antique shops throughout the United States and Europe. They are particularly known for their beautiful line of furniture done in the Art deco style of the 1940's and 1950's, but unfortunately, they could not keep up with the rising costs of their hand-built goods. The company went out of business in the 1970's. Vintage/Antique Heywood Bros. & Wakefield, Co., Boston, Mass., original art deco dressing table w. chair. The piece is a two drawer, medium oak burl-tiger striped top w a tri style folding mirror encased in oak. This is a charming dressing table w chair (chair needs to be recaned and dressing table top needs refinishing). The drawers are tongue and grove w dove tail joints and they have stop catches. The dresser base is 31" high and the width is 36" and depth 19". The total height of piece is 58". VERY NICE ART DECO PIECE. Pick up only on Long Island. Call 631 896 6212 for directions.
