This rug was left to me in my grandfather's estate and was purchased by him in 1966 for $1,516.00, for which I have the original receipt. It has been very well maintained and was just taken to get cleaned and re-fringed and was recently appraised for $4,000.00. I am available by appointment to see the rug where it is being held in storage near New Hyde Park, Nassau, Long Island, and am willing to negotiate the price of this beautiful 9x16 Royal Sarouk.
