Description Overlooking the Manhattan skyline and New York Harbor, and located on Grymes Hill in Staten Island, New York City's "Borough of Parks," Wagner College is best known for its innovative curriculum, the Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts, which combines liberal, experiential and service learning in a unique and much acclaimed program. Wagner's curriculum, which has just completed its first decade, has been cited as a model program by the AACU, Time Magazine, and, most recently, U.S. News & World Report and Clinton Global Initiative University. The College is seeking applicants for the position of Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Information Technology. The successful candidate will report directly to the Provost and will serve as the College's chief information officer overseeing the Office of Information Technology.


The Associate Provost will play a major role in advancing the mission of the College by implementing a strategic approach to the development and delivery of information technologies, systems, and services that are innovative and cost-effective and that provide strong support for the College's teaching, research, student-life, and administrative activities.


RESPONSIBILITIES: The Associate Provost will oversee the following areas: Academic Computing, Administrative Computing, Desktop Support, Media Services, Network Operations, Telecommunications, and Web Support Services. Information Technology staff will work closely with the Office of the Registrar and provide technology support for all students, faculty and staff.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Our ideal candidate will have a strong combination of skills in strategic planning, communications and coordination, as well as collaborative skills that will allow effective work with faculty, staff and senior administrators to develop and implement appropriate use of technology resources. In addition, the ability to understand complex challenges and lead teams to deploy appropriate solutions, and knowledge of Information Technology as a means of

support for the College's mission in teaching, learning, data collection and reporting, and public service is required. Current knowledge of enterprise-level information systems and technologies, a broad base technical knowledge in IT and emerging technology trends is required. (Jenzabar CX experience is also preferred) We also desire experience with legal procedures and protocols that relate to IT, as well as privacy and security standards.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: The successful candidate should have a master's degree and a minimum of 3 years of higher education experience successfully managing/supervising in an information technology environment.
