We offer group trips most weekends to the most beautiful and spectacular parks, forests, and mountain areas in downstate New York, northern New Jersey, western Connecticut, and nearby states. There are day hikes on the vast majority of Saturdays & Sundays year-round, and wilderness camping & backpacking trips from May through October. Trips range in difficulty from easy to strenuous. Transportation is provided from Manhattan's Upper West Side. Beginners are welcome, as are experienced hikers and campers. The trips are led by author and licensed guide Charlie Cook, who has led more than 1600 trips over the years. Our name is Wild Earth Adventures, and this is our 29th year.
