Our client, a prestigious Financial Services Firm located here in NYC is seeking a Project Manager/Business Analyst to support their Asset Management Division.


RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Overseeing and facilitating the overall coordination, stability, and status reporting of IT implementation planning, establishing and implementing program management processes and methodologies to guarantee that all IT implementation related tasks are successfully integrated within the project portfolio, delivered on time / within budget

- Adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations; develop strategies and approaches for IT implementation, cutover, conversion, etc;

- Create and track IT implementation project milestones, recommending adjustments to Project Managers;

- Provide detailed planning, managing the issues, risks, and resources of work being done to fulfill implementation requirements;

- Follow rigorous SDLC and program management best practices; comply with internal Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) processes and adhere to change control and problem management procedures

Manages the IT implementation aspects of various cross functional pro.- Manages the IT implementation aspects of various cross functional programs comprising multiple projects of the highest complexity.

- Coordinates execution of master IT implementation plans through all aspects of implementation, including go live phase.

- Leads the communication to IT leadership, business leadership, and IT business consultants to convey IT related program strategy, direction, and changes.

- Consistently delivers IT implementation requirements within project portfolio on time and within budget, meeting the highest quality standards and customer satisfaction.

- Leads interdepartmental or interdivisional IT implementation related initiatives.

- Actively identifies any issues or risks associated with multiple IT implementation projects, developing and implementing mitigation strategies for timely resolution.

- Works with the most senior leadership of the business, as well as Project Managers / Leaders and Program Managers, to align IT implementation requirements with program goals and develop strategies and approaches for IT implementation, cutover, conversion, etc;

- Manages and mentors a team of Project Managers, Portfolio Managers and/or other project management staff.

- May assist senior level management in coordinating business area activities and balancing workload.

- Serves as initial point of escalation for all program management issues or risks.

- Applies knowledge of Project Management methodologies, best practices (i.e., ITIL), tools, and resource management and change management practices to manage the largest and most complex projects, ensuring efficient use of technical and administrative resources.

- Maintains PMP certification by taking refresher courses and exams.

- Develops enterprise wide IT project / program strategies, supporting business case and various high-level project plans.

- Serves as SME in all aspects of IT implementation planning / execution, ensuring consistency across project portfolio.

- Coordinates large numbers of staff to manage the IT implementation related aspects of multiple large, complex project portfolios with greater impact on the enterprise.

- Often serves as back-up for senior management.

- Understands the organization within IT and establishes a working relationship with multiple business areas.

- Develops and builds relationships with IT partners and business clients.

- Strengthens and fosters strong, ongoing relationships with IT partners and business clients.

- Understands the organization, dynamics, and relationships within IT.

- Understands dynamics and relationships within multiple business areas.

- Able to interpret business plans for determining technology alignment and technology resolutions.

- Reviews business cases and various enterprise-wide project plans in order to develop program strategies that support IT implementation requirements.



- Bachelors / Masters Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field.

- Project Management Certification desirable.

- 10 plus years of IT work experience and project management.

- Enhances the alignment between IT implementation requirements and program goals for projects of the highest complexity.

- Manages the IT implementation aspects of a master plan comprising multiple projects of the greatest complexity.

- Leads the communication of IT implementation related initiatives across business departments and divisions, as well as project, program, and senior leadership.
