We are currently seeking an experience AUDIT MANAGER, with direct CPA firm experience, but with a very targeted background in the audit and review of employee benefit plans. The types of plans involved will primarily be comprised of Multi-Employer plans ranging in size from 300 to 20,000 participants with assets of $5,000,000 to 1 Billion dollars. These will specifically include 100 Multi-Employer Plans, many of which are in the Building and Construction industry, consisting of defined benefit, defined contribution, and health and welfare benefit plans.


Please note: We are not looking for someone that has run a benefit department or who has been an administrator with regards to a company's benefit plan, we need someone with a background in the review and qualification of these plans from within a 3rd party organization, in this case, a public accounting firm.


This individual will oversee all aspects of client service including:

Supervision of audit staff

Scheduling engagements

Audit planning

Review of work papers and financial statements

Interaction with Plan Administrators and key personnel

Special projects

Attendance of Board of Trustees Meetings

Review of DOL and IRS filings

Review of staff performance and Marketing activities.

The audit manager will report directly to the engagement principal.


The qualified candidate will bring with them the following experience:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent is required

CPA license is preferred.

A minimum of 5 years experience of managing employee benefit plan audits is preferred.

Strong written and verbal skills as well as being committed to providing high level client service.
