Contact: (see below) We are currently seeking a strong public accounting professional for a Richmond, VA CPA firm that is looking to expand and grow their stellar team.


This role of TAX MANAGER a key position and we are looking for someone with an extensive TAX REVIEW background. The majority of this role will be review work, so we need someone that has done this for 25-50% of the time in a previous role and someone that can lead another team member in the Tax Arena. There is plenty of work to be done year-round, but you have to LOVE long hours during the tax-season.


If you can handle the work outlined above, the below list of qualifications is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate:

EDUCATION: At least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance.

CERTIFICATION: CPA is a must. While we may consider those without, to be at the right experience level, you will likely have already.

EXPERIENCE: a minimum of 5+ years of experience in public accounting in income tax preparation, with RECENT and EXTENSIVE tax REVIEW responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be coming FROM the Public Accounting world and will be looking for the same. While those looking to RETURN to public accounting might work, Direct, recent applicable experience is desired.

TRAVEL/Client Interface: Ability to travel locally, as needed, since there will be times where you will need to visit your clients directly.

COMMINICATION: Due to the mixture of both internal and external communication required for this role, we need excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. You must know how to speak effectively to your audience, no matter who they are!
